Seven Gables Road Abandoned Bridge, Sixteen Mile Stand, Ohio
This concrete bridge was once used on a daily basis but now sits hidden back in the woods.
I contacted the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library, the Symmes Historical Society and the Hamilton County Engineers Office regarding information about this bridge. Unfortunately, no one knew anything about the bridge or they never returned my emails and calls. So now I’m asking for help from the general public. I have 6 questions:
1. Does anyone have any photos of this bridge while it was under construction?
2. Do you know what year this bridge was built?
3. Do you have any photos of the bridge while it was open?
4. Do you know the year the bridge was closed?
5. What is the name of the creek that this bridge crosses?
6. Why is this road named “Seven Gables”???
If anyone out there can answer even one of these questions, please leave a comment below.
