Historic Hayworth Road Bridge, West Newton, Indiana

This unusual historic bridge southwest of Indianapolis was discovered by Jena Humphreys who works with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources in the Historic Preservation Archeology Division. Because the “bridge” is actually classified as a “culvert” due to its short length, finding the background history of the bridge was difficult.
