A local contractor by the name of William Wilhelm built this concrete arch bridge in November 1908. The single lane bridge is about 69 feet long and spans Ramsey Creek which flows into the Whitewater River just 100 yards away. At 115 years old it’s starting to show some wear and tear with larger cracks appearing in the concrete. What is really cool about this bridge is that the side walls are only about 18 inches tall so the contractor installed heavy iron pipe as a guardrail. You’ll probably never see this again on any bridge built today.
