First School Bus Safety Mirror, Lambertville, Michigan

The first school bus safety mirror was installed in the late 1940s near Lambertville, Michigan.  The mirror was designed by a school bus driver after he nearly ran over one of his children he dropped off that was hidden in a blind spot directly in front of the bus.
