Ohio’s first traffic fatality happened back in 1835 just east of Zanesville, Ohio along the National Road.
Built in 1876, the Salt Creek Covered Bridge is the flagship of the Ohio Historic Bridge Association as this is the bridge that was saved by the group at the very beginning.
Built in 1858 near Norwich, Ohio, the West Union One Room School House is the second school at this location and one of the finest examples of early educational buildings in the region.
