Most everyone in the Greater Cincinnati area is familiar with the abandoned subway tunnels but did you know about the abandoned train tunnels? In this episode of History In Your Own Backyard, Susie interviews local transit historian Jeffrey Jakucyk. We learn about the ill fated attempt to build a massive 10,000 foot long railroad tunnel heading north out of downtown Cincinnati and the other smaller tunnels built in 1881 that are still intact under the streets of Walnut Hills.
