Almost 50 covered bridges were built in Clermont County, Ohio between 1825 and 1878, yet only 1 remains. The Stonelick Covered Bridge. This bridge has come close to being lost several times, including once when a garbage truck partially fell through the floor of the structure. In that incident in order to save the bridge the floor of the bridge had to be cut open to let the truck drop into the creek below!
