Cherry Valley Coke Ovens, Leetonia, Ohio

In northeastern Ohio in the small town of Leetonia you’ll find the Cherry Valley Coke Ovens constructed around 1866. One of the largest such facilities in the nation, these ovens were designed to transform coal into coke to manufacture iron and steel.
