The Brent Spence, I 75 Bridge, Covington, Kentucky
Built in 1963 the Brent Spence Bridge is now considered to be “functionally obsolete” as it carries almost twice the amount of traffic that it was originally designed for in the 1960s. Also there is an interesting story that this bridge was almost named the “John F. Kennedy Bridge” in honor of the late President who was assassinated just 3 days before this bridge was scheduled to be opened to the public.
