The Science One Room School House was located along the old Winton Road alignment. It was built in the 1870s and used up until 1938.

Schools in the Greenhills area date back to the 1800s and included everything from one room school houses to consolidated high schools.

Built in 1875 the Burr Oak School House has also been used as a courthouse, jail and a police station over the years.

Built in 1925 the Lemon Monroe High School was added onto many times before it was demolished in 2016.

Built in 1905, the Booker T. Washington School was constructed and designed to educate the African American children in the town.

Built in 1907, Carnegie Hall was built as a college in the Moores Hill area
